North Star Pie Company has been in the business since 2021. Although that’s not a very long time, we draw on decades of experience in previous professional baking capacities.
A few things we are required to tell you:
- North Star Pie Company is a Registered Cottage Food Producer by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture – registration number 20232977.
- As a Registered Cottage Food Producer, North Star Pie Company is limited by state law to baking and selling only certain types of pies, often referred to as “counter pies”. The company does not bake and sell pies that require immediate refrigeration, such as cream or custard pies, including pumpkin pies, and pies topped with meringue.
- North Star Pie Company complies with all current and applicable requirements in both states as a Cottage Food Producer.
A few things we want to tell you:
- North Star Pie Company intentionally operates on a part-time and seasonal basis. There is (and always will be) a limited number of pies baked and sold each week – during the months that pies are being baked.
- Every pie you buy from North Star Pie Company is fresh, hand-made and truly home-made. The pies do not contain preservatives or artificial ingredients, but they do contain gluten and sugar.
- North Star Pie Company sells pre-ordered pies 1) through this website using a few electronic options for payment including cash/check at time of pickup or delivery or 2) in person, which you then can pay in cash or by check.
- ALL pre-ordered pies must be ordered at least 3 days in advance.
- Except for a website, North Star Pie Company does not participate in any social media platforms.
- Our pies might not look as fancy as some – but wait until you take a bite!
